definition
Paroxysmal pallor and coldness of the extremities, usually precipitated by cold, and followed by cyanosis and arterial hyperaemia may be a secondary phenomenon in a large number of underlying diseases. Raynaud’s disease is a term used to describe those cases where no other disease is found. It is much more common in women.
