definitionRare disorder, occurring especially in pregnancy with the features of generalized pustular psoriasis but with a tendency to symmetry and grouping of areas of pustulation. It may occur in any trimester and often starts in the flexures. Patients may become extremely ill with fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and tetany. Hypocalcaemia has often been reported.
