Recurrent Palmoplantar Hidradenitis

Disorder presenting on the palmoplantar surfaces of otherwise healthy children with tender, erythematous papules and nodules. The lesions occur over a 1-3 day period and resolve in 7-10 days when treated. Histopathological examination reveals a dense, nodular infiltrate composed almost entirely of neutrophils and centred at the secretory and proximal ductal portions of eccrine glands. The cause of this disorder is not currently known.
