Pityriasis Rotunda

definition

Disorder characterized by circular, sharply defined patches of dry, ichthyosiform scaling with no inflammatory changes commonly situated on the buttocks, thighs, abdomen, and arms. Lesions may be solitary or multiple, develop usually between the ages of 25 and 45 and remain unchanged throughout life. Relatively common in the Far East.
