Persistent, pruritic papular eruption, especially on the shins, caused by deposition of amyloid in the papillary dermis. The lesions consisting of multiple scaly and often pigmented papules may also occur on the extensor aspect of the thighs, forearms and upper arms. There is no evidence of deposits occurring in internal organs.
